First sunburn of the year. I went in a bit overconfident, thinking I was invulnerable to burning due to my decent base tan acquired in Maui three months ago. Soooo, instead of slathering on the usual 8 spf I journeyed poolside covered in my Maui Island Secret Browning Formula. SPF? A mere 5.. I might as well have doused myself in Crisco.
So three hours later, and 100 pages futher into Jonathan Safran Foer’s Everything is Illuminated I realize my stomach is starting to itch. I go home and discover that my tummy and shoulders are lobster-red and super-owie! Bummer. Having no aloe vera, I dug up a tube of Tattoo Goo from three years ago. I figure if it’ll soothe recently punctured and dyed flesh, it should heal my sunburn. Here’s hopin’.
Stoopid. But at least now I have a good reason to stay inside and try to beat Kim Possible‘s Super Collapse score.
Ouch. I went golfing this weekend, got a bit burned myself. But I don’t think I got it nearly as bad as you did. 😦
You should have used butter, like Kramer
lol. Well, if a Ph.D. tells me to use butter…then butter it is 🙂
I feel for you there. I get sunburned ALL the time, and it takes only a few minutes for me. I usually use a French creme called Biafine, not sure if it is found in North America but it does miracle for me. I hope it will get better soon.PSWhen do we get to see your tattoo?
Send me some o’ that fancy French crap and I’ll show ’em to you, neda. 😉
