Yesterday we hit an amazing milestone… there are now over five hundred Xbox GamerchiX!
Kudos to these amazing women who have recruited their friends, supported each other, tried new games, welcomed newcomers, stayed positive, stuck to the manifesta, and advised eachother on games, shoes, hair products, child-rearing, pet care, relationships, and snack food.

P.S. Peeps with Spaces sites: has anyone noticed that their stats are f’ed up lately? I’ve had over 100,000 page views in the last six days, but I’m not seeing any unusual referring urls. I highly doubt a crapload of people suddenly subscribed to my RSS… what gives?

It might be that program the Major put a link to on his website, TriX. It’s called Xbox Live Stream, and it automatically goes to a list of game sites that have podcasts and RSS streams, downloads them to your PC, and then you can read the blogs/listen to podcasts over your 360. Pretty nifty little program, I installed it and was reading your Vegas weather reports off of my 360!
Oh, forgot to add, your site is one it automatically grabs info from!
I just need to get laid off again so I have time to make more Gadgets/Widgets. My Major Nelson widget looks all spiffy but my Trixie widget looks all kinds of bland.
The Xbox Live Stream is a great idea, but the developer should have really done a wider test and gotten with the site admins he put on there. Crashing other people’s servers isn’t cool.

First I wanna give you a congrats on the 500 gamerchix Trixie, awesome stuffSecond, all the hits are coming from a program called XB Stream, it crippled Major Nelson’s, and GamerTagRadio’s site and it shut down XBL Radio and Gamer Andy because it was downloading everyone of our podcasts, every show and because it was on Major’s site so the program was downloaded at least 5000 times before Major took it off. Over at XBL Radio we went through 750 GB’s worth of crap before our hosts shut us down. And this was last thursday and we finally today got back turned on. Hello Trixie, I’m the author behind XB Stream (www.xbstream.com) . The program automatically downloads blogs and converts them into images you can view on your xbox 360. It also downloads audio podcasts.
I included your blog as one of the defaults that comes with the program so those definately are real hits to your website.
Mike Westerhold: The program was never intended to be released to 20,000+ people on it’s first day of release. I never expected that many people would download and use it so quickly so before harshly saying I released software without testing you need to understand things more clearly.
If you want me to remove the feed Trixie please let me know and I’ll remove it from XB Stream. I should have asked your permission first but it’s very hard getting a hold of xbox community leaders and I was simply just trying to give you a little more exposure. No harm was intended 😦

I’ve tried twice to join gamerchix by sending email as describe on their site. Each time months go by and nothing. Sounds like it could be fun, but wish someone would explain how to join since the email thing isn’t working.
