Today Video Monkey and I are off to Singapore for the World Cyber Games Asian Championship! It’s gonna be a looooong day in the air. 10 hours to Tokyo and then 7 to Singapore. Luckily we were able to book business class, so it shouldn’t be too awful. They don’t allow babies in business class do they? I mean, what business could babies possibly be traveling for? Maybe when the Olsen twins were babies they flew up front. But I digress.
Here’s what I’ve got on deck entertainment-wise for the flight: Season 3 of The Sopranos. Seasons 3 and 4 of Sex and the City, plus "The Letter" an old Bette Davis movie based on a Somerset Maugham story that’s set in Singapore. Did you know that Singapore is home of both the World’s Tallest Hotel and the World’s Biggest Fountain? I was going to take The Dirt the Motley Crue book on the plane but I cheated and read the whole thing in one sitting (well, I was actually supine on my sofa). Then I went to download some Crue to my Zune when I was cruelly disappointed. No Crue. Thankfully my friend hooked me up. Of course I will only preview the music and delete it after 48 hours.
I’m not sure if my cellphone is going to work over there. If it doesn’t it will not only be annoying, but will also put the kibosh on any fun text messaging with the Boy Toy. Of course on the other hand it means my boss can’t harangue me the way he did when I was in New York. Just kidding Gun. Yeah, um… my phone she is not working. I can’t understand the worlds coming out of your mouth.
