Seattle Gamers: Come on Down!


If you live in the Seattle area and loved PAX, you should definitely check out the World Cyber Games Grand Final this weekend at Qwest Field Event Center. Admission is ten bucks, but you can print out a coupon on Xbox.com and get in for FREE. Here are some of the highlights:
 
Friday Night – Major Nelson and Geoff Keighly host onstage matches, hot band Rock Kills Kid plays Rock Band with attendees (that could be YOU) from 6-7pm, then give a FREE concert on the Main Stage at 7:30.
 
Saturday – Play Rock Band, Halo 3, Gears of War and Bioshock and PGR4. Meet the Rat City Rollergirls, challenge a GamerchiX girl to Guitar Hero III, watch the best gamers in the world compete for medals and cash. Major Nelson and Geoff Keighly host stage matches in the evening.
 
Sunday – Play Rock Band, Halo 3, Gears of War and Bioshock and PGR4. Meet the Rat City Rollergirls, challenge a GamerchiX girl to Guitar Hero III, watch the best gamers in the world compete in the Finals. See the winners get their medals and giant checks in the Closing Ceremony.
 
Interested in getting into the Games Industry? DigiPen is hosting two days worth of free seminars on art, programming, game design and production. Saturday is the Women in Games Symposium from 12 – 2 pm. Both are completely free and are happening in the East Hall.
