Great interview trixie, its cool to see that your gamerchix is really doing great
I listen to Major Nelson’s show each week and I’m always shocked when I see the comments on his blog. The responses from some people are just wrong, they act as if the show is made specifically for them when its actually just Major’s hobby.
I read all 140+ comments to show 187, where GamerChiX were discussed, and I just think its pathetic. The people that are complaining about the female gamers being in the spotlight are obviously just jealous and don’t really understand the what it means for the industry. Games have always been a male dominated pass time which has the chance of evolving into something more.
Its difficult to find a nice group of players on Xbox Live. Meeting the "good" people amongst all the arrogance, trash talking, racism and generaly unsporting players. Which is why I am always happy to see communities like GamerchiX. its especially good for female gamers who get harrassed by (some) male players.
I hope that the GamerchiX continue to thrive and boost the image of computer games. I also think you should do more shows with Major, you have a great voice.

TriXie don’t let them bring you down to thier lowly level. These are the people that just dont understand how much of a presence girl gamers truely have in the community. The main reason they hate on girl gamers because we pose a threat to thier precious egos.
You rock, you rock out loud!!! You are an important part of this community and if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have met so many wonderful ladies. You have always been supportive.

I’ve been listening to Maj’s podcast and reading his blog for a few months now. Before this I wasn’t aware of much of the XBox community and now positive guys such as youself and MN are about it all. The Podcast involving the interview about GamerchiX was, for me, great to listen to not only because I became aware of another XBox ‘personality’ but because of the GamerchiX idea (oh, and i havent smiled so much whilst listening to any of the interviews before!).
Ignore all the comments on MN’s blog from the 13 year old kids and ignorant guys – most of us mature and sensible guys do (ignore them) and I’m sure I’m not the only member of the community who welcomes the growth of female gamers using XBox Live!
