Trixieland

Nope. haven’t cleaned my apartment at all, though I did manage to locate my passport. I spent all day yesterday lying in bed reading, napping and cuddling with the kitten and feeling vaguely guilty that I wasn’t cleaning or packing. Today though–it’s time to get down to business. This place is a sty, I need to do laundry and find the battery charger for my digital camera.  So I woke up bright and early-ish and….did some research on Milan. I discovered that it is the largest city in Italy. It is home to the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele which is reputed to be the world’s oldest shopping mall! Guess who else lives in Milan? Alpha Romeo, Buggati, Versace, Dolce and Gabbana, Armani and Prada! Looking at the WCG schedule I have found there are many many ceremonies and parties and appearances by Italian pop stars that I’ve never heard of. There will also be a crapload of media there from all over the world, so I forsee having to throw some elbows in the press room.

 

Tomorrow will be 10 hours to Amsterdam, then 2 more to Milan. I hate that I can’t bring Diet Coke on board anymore. The airlines are so stingy with their beverages, making you wait hours in between doling out half a plastic cup of soda. I can’t function on that! And are they going to feed us? Or is it a dog-biscuit flight? Hear me, oh gods of the airways: I implore you not to lose my luggage, not to let the chick in Amsterdam security feel me up again, please have a decent film, be liberal with the Diet Coke and NO BABIES on my flight!!! World without end, amen.
